1. 3mm (Top choice for overseas projects)
• Most commonly used for projects in Europe and the US, hotels, B&Bs, and whole-home smart systems; the standard thickness for mainstream touch-enabled WiFi/ZigBee smart wall sockets.
• Advantages: Sufficient rigidity (resists bending and cracking); moderate weight (won't deform steel mounting boxes during installation); mature processing techniques (screen printing, AG matte/mirror finishes); balanced cost.
• Applications: WiFi/ZigBee smart wall sockets, hotel electrical projects, smart home projects.
2. 4mm (High-end residential/villa model)
• Offers a substantial, premium feel and superior impact resistance; ideal for high-end renovations and villas where clients prioritize a premium tactile experience.
• Disadvantages: Heavier weight places higher demands on the steel mounting bracket structure; higher material costs; increased weight raises the risk of shipping damage.
3. 2mm (Ultra-thin, budget model; for retail volume only-not recommended for large-scale projects)
• Advantages: Lightweight and slim profile; low price point.
• Drawbacks: Material is relatively soft and prone to deformation under pressure; corners crack easily upon impact; unsuitable for bulk project procurement; exercise caution when selecting for hotels or B&Bs.
Thicknesses below 2mm are not recommended due to insufficient strength and high post-sales breakage rates; thicknesses exceeding 4mm result in excessive weight, driving up packaging and logistics costs.
We can customize the thickness of the tempered glass according to specific project requirements; if you have a custom project, welcome to contact the E-top team.
